Dr Ray McClanahan explains the importance and benefits of strengthening the intrinsic and extrinsic foot muscles as it relates to common foot and ankle pathologies. The lecture is aimed towards the athletic patient, but can still be applied to the general population. Dr McClanahan also discusses some common pitfalls of conventional athletic shoes while highlighting features to look for in healthier, more natural footwear.
