Sexual Harassment: Recognizing the Practical and Ethical Boundaries and Promoting and Adhering to Policies for the Podiatric Physician

Robert Smith, DPM, MSc, RPh, SrFNAP

Sexual harassment and sexual assault are very serious issues happening today in the workplace. The profession of podiatry is no exception. Both clinical and professional literature have highlighted examples of harassment within podiatry residencies and practice sites. Given, it is solely the responsibility of the podiatric physician to ensure that all employees under their supervisor are aware, familiar, and the laws, misconduct, and liabilities centered on sexual harassment behaviors; this 60-minute program presents data centered on recognizing the ethical boundaries of sexual harassment as a podiatric physician.
