Available in Packages/Products: PRESENT Complete Podiatric CME Online
Whether the result of a simple Google search, or the data revealed in published papers, plantar heel pain is one of the most common, if not the most common condition that brings a patient into the Podiatric physician’s office. Due to the complexity of the alternating functions of adaptability and stability that the foot must undergo with each step, this condition can also be one of the most frustrating to treat with respect to the design of an appropriate foot orthosis. This presentation will examine the interconnected nature of the biomechanical and neurologic systems in the genesis of plantar heel pain and present designs that will ensure a clinically acceptable outcome for both the patient and practitioner alike.
